Blogosphere, clarified

Walt Crawford has clarified his study on the library blogosphere, noting that it only includes English-language blogs in response to a comment from BiblioAcid -

Juste une suggestion pour la prochaine édition, Walt : il n’y a pas que des blogs anglophones…

The data makes more sense in light of Walt’s clarification.

I’ve started filing non-English blogs in a separate folder of my Bloglines account as I find them, naturally I don’t understand them all but I’m interested to get a better picture of ‘blogging hotspots’ around the world. If you visit my public subscriptions, the last folder is Library People in Language.

And I just found something interesting: I went to see your link of public subscriptions. Saw BiblioAcid, which I write with co-librarian Marlene; clicked on the link, saw it at 12 subscribers. Went back to my own bloglines account and saw there 20 subscribers for the same blog.
Might simply be 20 for the atom feed and 12 for the rss…
