Jobs:
Music and news librarian
Academic librarian
Yes, I’ve only had two proper jobs. I went straight from school to undergrad to library school to work. I spent my teen years being rejected from Target, Miss Maud’s, Big W and other fine retail after-school jobs, so instead I spent my time volunteering with the Girl Guides. I’ve also been a director at a public radio station, but I didn’t get paid for it so it doesn’t count.
Movies:
Rear Window
The Wizard of Oz
Cinema Paradiso (original, not the awful director’s cut)
Lost in Translation
Four Places I’ve lived:
Wanneroo, Western Australia
Kallaroo, Western Australia
Mullaloo, Western Australia (see a pattern here?)
Sydney, Australia
Four TV shows:
Arrested Development
The X-Files
Family Guy
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Four places I’ve vacationed:
New York, USA
Paris, France
Tokyo, Japan

In Torino, watching the Olympics
Books:
Microserfs, Douglas Coupland
Metamorphoses, Ovid
The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear, Walter Moers
Sandman, Neil Gaiman (though that’s cheating, as there’s 10 volumes)
Songs:
Paranoid Android, Radiohead
This Flight Tonight, Joni Mitchell
Nolita, Keren Ann
Negative Folk Song, Benjamin Biolay
Cars:
None. I got a license at 17 like almost everyone else, but I never owned a car. I only drove once after I got my license, in the car my dad bought for the kids to drive (1974 Honda Civic) but it sat unused in the driveway - I was too committed to public transport.
Four bloggers I’m tagging:
Apologies if any of these have already done their dash on this.
I don’t have cooties, I swear!
