More on content analysis and libraries

I came across another article today that covers some similar ground and scope to my unfinished librarians in the media content analysis:

Robinson, L T K, (2006) “Curmudgeons and Dragons? A Content Analysis of the Australian Print Media’s Portrayal of the Information Profession 2000 to 2004“, LIBRES, Vol 16, No. 2 (PDF)

Sensibly, Robinson has a much, much smaller sample for her study than I attempted, (40 vs 1000+ articles), but used a similar methodology and came to the same conclusion that the incidence of cliches was much lower than anticipated.

Worth reading if you are interested in a completed study on this topic.
