Add a new slogan/tagline if you want, modify the "permanent hiatus" post, and use the blog for your current needs. I suspect a lot of us will keep you subscribed because you still have worthwhile things to say, and the others will go away. Heck, if you really do the comparison, my ejournal (Cites & Insights) is an almost completely different animal than it was in 2000--but the change was gradual rather than abrupt.
